(That’s my other love, I’m a nut for great earrings, but they have to be made of sterling silver.) And the thing about monkey earrings is that I want them to make me laugh, just like the real thing at the Monkey House! They may be our relatives in the animal world, but no one I know, human or otherwise makes me laugh like the primates do.

That’s why I volunteer at the zoo. This brings me to the other point of writing this post. I’ve never in my life found a jewelry site online that has more great silver earrings, covering everything from armadillos to elephants, greyhounds to manatees. And all done by one artist, too. My hat is off to her, and to anyone who can so capture the beauty and playfulness of all the animals in the world.

I came across these fine sterling silver horse earrings when I was searching for a gift for my niece, and noted them as the perfect gift for a favorite horse loving aunt. (My niece was only 4 years old at the time.) Well, I was right. My aunt loved them and I congratulated myself on discovering the perfect place to shop for horse jewelry!
